Port Matrix

In Pathfinder passive components have a Port matrix which defines the internal connections between front and rear ports of the component.

The port matrix tab can be accessed from the properties of component definitions.


The port matrix depicts the logical connection between the front and rear ports of a passive component, e.g. a patch panel.

By default, the connection matrix is set as (n : n) where n is the port number.

The yellow section describes the front ports and the red section describes the rear ports.

In the port matrix tab you can view the default port matrix of the component as well as manage the connections.

You can simply click to bind or unbind the connections on screen.

To unbind all connections, click on the icon below. You can also change the grid view here.

Note that the port matrix of a component definition with existing instances cannot be changed
