Number of Instances

Component instances are the actual network objects which are displayed and documented in Pathfinder and are always based on a component definition.

The Number of Instances field can be found in the properties of a component definition. It shows if any and how many instances of the component definition exist at any time and can be used to access and manage a list of all these instances.

Component Instances

Please check the number of instances of a component definition, before making any changes to it, to make sure you are aware of and want to change all of them.

  • You can manage the component instances by clicking on the ”” button in the number of instances field.

When you edit or delete a component definition, it influences all component instances present in the active network that are based on that definition.
