Custom Fields

This pages describes how to create custom fields in Pathfinder.

Select custom fields from options dialog window in the system section.

You can create custom fields for your component instance properties.


Creating Custom Fields

You can create custom fields for cables, network paths and components.

  • To create a custom field, first you must enable the corresponding key field (1) and assign the field name.

  • Select the data type between, Text, Integer, Float and Date and assign a display name. (2).

  • Select the respective field type from the drop down menu here (3).

Click on Apply to complete your custom field creation. Click on OK to close the window.


Viewing and using Custom Fields

You can create custom fields for cables, components, subnets, IP addresses, network paths and ports.

The custom field for the cable, network path or component should be available in the instance properties for that definition.

You can edit it just like any other properties field.
